Outcomes & Alumni Success

School of Theatre and Dance

Emilia Adams

Emilia Adams '19 | Production Design

“I credit much of my career success to the range of opportunities I was offered by ĢƵ’s theatre department.

The theatre department’s hands-on, deadline-driven environment shaped the skills I rely on every day: thinking on my feet, managing multiple moving pieces, and collaborating with multiple disciplines.

Those same skills I needed to bring concert stages and corporate galas to life in my early career, now bring me success in delivering for our healthcare clients.”

Morgan-Ellene Davis '16 | B.F.A. Theatre Performance

Spending four years sharpening my discipline at ĢƵ's Department of Theatre & Dance certainly set me up for success. I'm always pulling from the toolbox I gained at ĢƵ, and am every day grateful for the hard work and dedication put forth by the faculty during my time there.

“My theatre experience at ĢƵ provided me a space to explore, be curious, and develop bravery in the field. We were supported through a variety of entities that allowed us to consistently experience brand new things, lean into vulnerability, and learn from classmates, professors, and our Nashville Theatre Communities all at the same time.”

Meredith (Locke) Faulkner '13 | Theatre Education

“At ĢƵ, I learned the power of collaboration, connection, and how it enhances art. Not only did I meet some of my closest friends at ĢƵ, but my most meaningful professional projects have been in collaboration with ĢƵ Theatre Alumni.”
