An Inside Look: ĢƵ Repertory Company
"Billy the Kid Makes It Big"
ĢƵ's Department of Theatre and Dance showcases the power of bringing live theatre to school-aged children through ĢƵ Repertory Company (Rep Co). Rep Co is a touring theatre group comprised of students that introduces theatre to local elementary schools. During the 2025-26 academic year, theatre students brought Dolly Parton’s "Billy the Kid Makes It Big" to life through an original, student-created production, transforming a simple children’s book into a full touring performance. From writing and music to design and logistics, students led every part of the process, gaining real-world experience while sharing a story centered on kindness, perseverance and believing in your gifts with young audiences across Nashville.
